We do not sell your data.

We’re close enough to the product and the people using it to listen carefully, adjust quickly and make decisions without burying users under layers of corporate process.
It also means our incentives are simpler.
We’re not trying to turn family memories into advertising inventory. We’re not trying to push people through confusing upgrade paths. We're trying to build something useful, respectful and durable.
Your family’s privacy
We don’t sell your family data. We don’t share your family data. It’s yours.
Your family’s history stays in your family.
Your tree is private until you choose to share it. When you share it publicly, only the people who have died are included; living relatives never are. The AI services FamYarn uses may not train on anything you add. Each of these is a promise in our privacy policy, not only on this page.
Families pay for FamYarn, so families are who we work for.
Paid for by subscriptions, with no ads inside.
FamYarn has a free plan and two paid plans, with every price on our pricing page. There are no ads anywhere in FamYarn. We do advertise FamYarn itself, and when you arrive from one of those ads, this site lets that platform know, so we can tell which ads work. Our privacy policy names every company involved, and your browser’s Global Privacy Control setting turns it off.
